Update on Lady Alexandra. My needle sure seems to be smoking. It must be her red dress. She's certainly on fire ^.^
Speaking of red, have you seen Mirabilia's latest design? Introducing Red, aka Red Riding Hood :)
This more detailed photo was provided by Nora on the Facebook Mirabilia group.
Check out the beading on her gorgeous red hood.
For the first time ever, I've ordered the chart and kit within 24 hours of a design's release. What can I say? I'm in love.
After that, I went fabric stash diving and came up with two posibilities.
Floss toss for red on Polstitches Avalon Opalescent Cashel.
I'm thinking perhaps an enchanted forest mood on Avalon?
Or Sparklies Winter Skies Opalescent Belfast.
As for this one, the fabric name is kinda self explanatory :P
What do you think? Help! I'm desperate for opinions.

Oh my, what a great new lady in red. I can fully understand your decision to order her as quickly as possible. Both fabric colours seem to be perfect for her, no easy decision.
Great progress on Lady Alexandra.
Lady in Red is gorgeous! Great progress!
Love Red Riding Hood, another gorgeous design! My preference is for the first fabric!
Hugs,
Fab progress! Wow ~ the new one is stunning too! I like the bottom fabric.
Wow! You're really going on Miss Red. Gorgeous! I saw the new Mirabilia and immediately thought of you. lol! I'm glad you went for it. I prefer the bottom fabric -- just cause the more monochromatic background to me would allow Red to shine more on her own and not take away from her.
Both are lovely fabrics. Not seeing them in person I can't really say, but I'm wondering if there's too much purple in the first for all the red in the design???
Oh Veronica! Your needles are smoking hot :D She is beautiful in her red dress!! The new mira is so lovely and totally you. Both fabrics are beautiful...I couldn't decide which one!!
Hugs!
Gorgeous progress. I can see why you ordered the new design right away :)
You really are humming along with this!!!
RRH is GORGEOUS. I can totally see why you fell hard for her. I like the second fabric, personally - at least from these photos. The colors seem to pop a little more/be more complimentary. Something about the pinky purple in the first one that seems not quite 'it', if you know what I mean. (Both fabrics are to die for though. You've got some great stash!!!)
Hi Veronica! You have really been making big progress!! I love all the red dresses you've been working on. Both patterns are amazing! I prefer the bottom fabric for this pattern. Sometimes it's hard to tell from photographs, but I think the purple would not look quite right with the reds in the pattern. I can see why you pulled the fabric though, it really is a pretty piece of fabric! *Hugs*
I'd go for Winter Skies ... awesome fabric!
Lady in Red is gorgeous I live the Mirabilia Red. I am very tempted to buy her soon. I like Winter Skies for her.
Lady Alexandra looks awesome! Love her red dress. I really like the first fabric-but that is a very hard decision.
Hi Just found your blog and I hope you don't mind me putting it on my blog list. I love how you have done the lady in red it looks great. I would go the last fabric if it was me.
crossstitchangel@blogspot.com
She's looking stunning.
I prefer the top fabric, but of course it never looks true to colour on the computer.
I love your red dress conversion! Lady Alexandra was my next Mirabilia to stitch until Red came along :) I am thinking the bottom fabric might look a little better. Good luck choosing!
Lady Alex is coming through so richly. I can't believe how great that red looks.
I'm going to be the ugly duckling and say Red (riding hood) just isn't doing it for me. She's pretty, buuutt probably won't ever stitch her.
YOUR Red on the other hand is STUNNING! Wow! :O
p.s. my vote is for Sparklies Winter Skies.
Lady Alexandra is gorgeous! And I love the beading detail on Red! I think I would probably choose the bottom fabric. :)
I can't wait til you share your red conversion!!! and I like the Sparklies Winter Skies fabric for Red.
Fun fun fun to see your progress!
I think I prefer the second fabric.
Your Lady Alex in Red is looking stunning! Love the conversion. You go! I love Red! She is a must! For you, I vote for Winter Skies. She will pop on that fabric! I am trying to decide which fabric for her too. I may pick PTP Fathom since I have it but there are some Crafty Kitten ones I am itching to order!
without any doubt the second, Sparklies. see how those reds pop out? aaawwww!
enjoy the redmania :)
hugs and happy xxx,
chiara
I like the Avalon fabric the best :) The purples would go very well with the reds.
Your WIP looks great!
